I love GR Solaris so much! This was my second stay at the hotel and it always meet my expectations. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The ocean view from the room is amazing and the amenities are great ( the night show for Mother’s Day was incredible!) I’ve met people there that have been going to this hotel for 7 years now, that tells you how nice it is!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently had the pleasure of staying at this resort in Cancun, and it was truly a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and we were quickly shown to our beautiful room. (Upgrade to a lagoon view was $25USD) There's also a resort fee of 76.00MXN and room service now costs $5 USD per call. The resort grounds are impeccably maintained, with lush tropical gardens and pristine pools. We spent most of our days lounging by the pool, sipping on delicious cocktails from the poolside bar. The pool attendants were always on hand to provide us with fresh towels and ensure we had everything we needed. I felt like there was a lot of people so sometimes we needed to ask ourselves. The highlight of our stay was definitely the food and the excursions offered. The resort offers a variety of dining options, from casual beachside cafes to upscale restaurants. Every meal we had was absolutely delicious, with a wide range of cuisines to choose from. I especially LOVED the pizza bar . . . Get the Calzone!!! Overall, we had an amazing time at this resort and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tropical getaway in Cancun. The staff, amenities, and dining options exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to come back again soon!

The resort itself was average, but what left a sour taste in my mouth was their invitation to a 30th-anniversary presentation. This turned out to be a relentless sales pitch for a $30,000 membership, which felt like a complete rip-off. Spending two hours trying to push such an expensive commitment on me was not my idea of a vacation. I made it clear that I couldn't make such a big decision on the spot, but they persisted, almost insinuating that my hesitance was due to financial constraints. The salesperson's tactics were manipulative, trying to exploit the relaxed vacation mindset to pressure people into costly plans. I advise future travelers to steer clear of these presentations to avoid unnecessary stress and frustration.

This place is beautiful, it’s definitely more of a family friendly vibe than it is a party vibe. The food is not the best unless you go to the restaurants for dinner. Overall the staff are nice and accommodating and I would recommend for older crowds and people with families

W have been to GR Solaris in the past, it is clean and the pool/entertainment area is great. The food - sometimes it was excellent, sometime the meat was dry and the carver's in the dining room did not seem to want to be there, I felt like I was intruding on them instead of being their customer. we did have one guy that carved and served that was nice, the rest not so much. I would give the food a 3 out of 5 in the dining room. the rest of the staff was excellent. I also didnt like being hounded about excursions when I first walked in the door and everytime I was down in the lobby. This is my vacation I paid for, I dont need anyone trying to push excusions down my throat. I will come to you if I want something.

What I liked about the property was the beach and the fact it has two three pools and the bar. The bar can be a bit updated the drinks are water down and liquor is limited and cheap. No good beers offered either. The food buffer needs better food selection and making rsvp for restaurants are terrible always booked.

This was great value! With Expedia status we got a free bottle of champagne, a room upgrade and late check out. We also got invited to the presentation which we were hesitant about but we did it. They just had breakfast with us, gave a tour of the resort and offered us the vacation membership. At the end we got free gifts which we enjoyed and it was worth our 90 minutes. We used the app to book our dinners and the front desk even arranged for a birthday surprise in the room. There was always some activity at the pool or the lounge or the theater. Our flight was at night so we stored the bags and were even allowed to wait at the hotel and have access to the bars, restaurants and pool. I can’t imagine how this would have been any better. Talk about great value!

I love the Hotel, very clean the staff is so helpful. There is not a lot of variety of food but the food was so fresh and good. There were a lot of activities by the pool everyday and show every night.

The property is a little dated but well maintained. The best part of the stay was the staff and accommodation. We got an upgraded to ocean view room that had amazing sight lines. The food was pretty good for the all day buffet cafe. We never got a chance to try the 3 other restaurants as they were always booked. I’m tempted to go back as we had a great time.

My favorite of all were the welcome staff. They were absolutely helpful, kind and welcoming. The second was the convenience of everything nearby. (The food, the activities, drinks, beach and the app to be able to reserve the restaurants). Overall an amazing experience. I will be going back!

We have stayed in Cancun many times. First time at GR Solaris. Pros: Not too large, easy to get around. Not too crowded. The shows at night were entertaining. We never had to leave the property. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good value for the price and all inclusive. Cons: Food was average but good enough. The facilities could use some updating.

We have been staying here for many years and have been very happy with the services and staff of this hotel. However upon returning after a couple of years of not traveling to Cancun, we were very dissatisfied with the changes that have been made since our last trip to Mexico. First of all in the past they were already starting to take some privileges away from all guests to give to members only, and now see more unfairness. They made so many changes to the restaurants that we are not all satisfied with, it used to be have 24 hour food and drink and they don't offer that anymore, they expect you to pay a fee for room service instead. We were also dissatisfied with the entertainment, we liked when they had a dj or singers for dancing in the lobby and now there were days that they didn't have that anymore. A lot of guests would prefer music and dancing and not shows, they used to offer both generally. There is also a nonexistent beach anymore, I know they can't control nature but if you look in both directions you would see the other hotels have made efforts to retain their beaches. My husband and I were the first ones to stay here since 2011 and brought them many friends and family members through the years to this hotel. We recently stayed in May of 2024 and were disappointed with the changes and we all agreed to stay at another hotel next time we travel to Cancun. Most of the staff is still providing excellent service, but that wouldn't be enough to bring us back. A.M.

It was a nice property. The only thing we didn’t like was the mattress and pillows. They were hard as a rock. We asked for new pillows but never got them.

Right close to a nice golf course if thats your thing. The lobby bar is awesome and has comfy seating. The place is great and not too expensive either

The staff was great, all were very nice and attentive. Check in was easy. The room was large, clean and the bed was comfy. The breakfast buffet was good, but the dinner was absolutely terrible. We tried Marco Polo and the Mexican restaurant, both were good. We did have an issue with the dinner reservation app. It allowed us to make a reservation for the Asian restaurant even though it was closed that day (Sunday). We did not receive a notification the restaurant was closed. There were about 6 other couples waiting to be seated, and we all found out at the same time the restaurant was closed. Luckily the Mexican restaurant was able to accommodate us.
