My wife has a skin sensitivity and we have come accustom to using only soaps that have no smell. The bed linens and bath towels were washed with a scented detergent and for us was a bit too much. "driving in it was beautiful, peaceful & we were ready to relax. the cabin was decorated super cute to accent the farm life. then… found the bath house! a lot more than a few steps away as described. 1 person could barely turn around & the mildew smell was the worst. ok… i can deal with this for 2 nights right! wrong. trying to get down the steep stairs from the bedroom in the middle of the night almost ended in a tumble down the stairs & a very long unlite walk to the bath house. it is connected...

"This was our first time in Shawnee. There are definitely a lot of trails. We ran out of time before trails. Suggest going to closer trails first. The home was clean and had most of what we needed. They were in the middle of getting wifi set up so that was a small bump in the road but we spent most of our time outdoors. Marion nearby had nice restaurants. The vault had amazing breakfast."

"Scrupulous cleanliness, thick towels and toilet paper, a comfortable bed, Americana decor and a well equipped kitchen lent to a general air of welcome and comfort. We enjoyed the benefit of the kitchenette and grill, walked in the golf course and used the opportunity to see Giant City, the John A. Logan museum in Murphysburo and to lunch in Anna with our son. Steve, the cabin host, was very easy to communicate with as well."
