The extra cost for a Deluxe room was worth it. I had a full bathroom on the hall not a dorm style bathroom with a row of showers, sinks and toilet stalls. I wish a wash cloth was provided along with the towel. I appreciated the extra blanket but the fitted bottom sheet did not fit. It would come loose and become a big mess during the night.
It is a reasonable lodging and great location. Easy to take the metro to Penn Station.
The stay was good. Staff was friendly also did not had a chair in the room, went to check in reception about no chair promptly immediately put in the room, I was please.
It smells like pee everywhere.
I wasn't expecting luxury but I wasn't expecting peeled off and broken furniture either.
The heating in the room was very poor, we had to sleep we our clothes on
Hay que tener cuidado con que habitacion te dan, algunas tienen en el pasillo baños privados y otras tienen baños de varias personas... Algunas tienen heladera y otras nada.. no especifican buen cual es cual
There was a suprise fee of $10 a night for membership of the Y, which caught us unawares. Also the female bathroom door did not shut properly without a big effort. Other than that, our room was basic but clean, the bathrooms were always clean and someone cleaning almost every time I went in. The security is tight as to who can enter so we felt safe. And it is so convenient for Midtown Manhattan, walkable for so many places and some gorgeous places nearby for breakfast. Thank you, Midtown Y!
Cheap, convenient. Odorous. Hope to not have to need to use this place again.

I loved how close it was to the shopping centers and Central Park, but took a nap into the evening and killed three roaches by the time I fully woke up and got a new room immediately.

Not a bad place to stay if for one night but a bit pricey for what you get. My mattress was not comfortable. I could feel the coils since it was well worn. Bedding was adequate but skimpy and lacking of comfort. That stated, staying here is like most of NYC. It's a place to sleep and not spend anymore time than necessary.
