I booked this place for the weekend since we were planning on hiking around Starved Rock and Matthiessen Park. The place is overall nice and affordable. The staff was nice. The property was clean. Our room was good. There was a few tears in the furniture but otherwise it was clean! Also, most importantly the bathroom was very clean. It was also close to a lot of food places and a cvs. It’s a good location and it was close to the state parks.

This is the best Super 8 I’ve stayed. It’s as good as a more budget-oriented Marriott chain. Ottawa is also a beautiful town with a pretty state park nearby. I went here back in 2020 and found the motel great. I decided to stay here again when driving to the eastern US from Colorado. I’m stopping here again when I’m driving back to the Denver area.

We were looking for an inexpensive 1 night stay while traveling back from Florida. Being inexpensive, we were expecting an older, outdated hotel which was fine since we didn’t need much. But we would not stay here again. The double queen room was advertised as sleeps 5, which in past experience, includes a sofa bed. This room did not. It was also only stocked with 3 sets of towels. We were promptly given a 4th towel at the desk but shouldn’t have had to ask. Room had a weird smell - a mix of old musty cigarette smoke and dog. While overall mostly clean, better attention to detail is needed. The bathroom exhaust fan was covered in dust and lint. Mold and grime in grout. Also the breakfast only goes until 9am and has very limited options. The staff was friendly, the room was quiet and good dining options close by.

Very comfortable. High level of cleanliness. Friendly, helpful staff. Very good rates. Less than 5 minutes to downtown Ottawa, less than 30 minutes to Starved Rock State Park. Only a couple blocks from I-80, but no road noise in the motel room.

It was small without all the frills which we aren't interested in. It was very quiet. The room seemed to be cleaned when we arrived, but was never cleaned during the 3 days we were there, only the towels were changed daily. We would stay there again as it was convenient to all the places we wanted to visit and it felt safe enough.
