Any time we needed the front desk it was a 20 minute wait (mind you, you need them if you’d like water, linens, etc so pretty much daily). We got back from an excursion in the rainforest and were wet/sweaty/muddy, and the water was off. Things happen; not upset but we were starving and gross. We tried to order food for pick up from a restaurant within the hotel but they wouldn’t send silverware with our food… it was very odd. The water was fixed that night, but stopped working again the next day. Taxi/uber is absolutely ungodly expensive and this isn’t really near anything “exciting.” I’m talking $100 each way to certain excursions so plan accordingly! Also plan a trip back ahead of time if you’re going far as Ubers originate near this hotel but not farther away to bring you back. The beach is small but little kid friendly for sure. Definitely check out the small beach off property just before el escambron—home to many sea turtles and the highlight of our stay! The little pond area on property is beautiful and so tranquil. I loved drinking my coffee with the swan, turtles and fish. Breakfast/ice cream shop was pretty good but pricey. Overall, wasn’t super impressed for this being a Hilton property but would weigh it as an option if we are back in PR.
