"This was our second time staying here, with our first being during the summer. The cottage is very clean and overall quite pleasant with a location perfect for bicycling into town and to the beach. However, this cottage really needs heat if it is to be rented during the cooler months. The owner did provide a portable heater at our request, which did warm the place, but was very noisy. Would stay again but only in the warmer weather. "

"The property overall was clean. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher and a knot of hair in the bedsheets. The kitchen has been updated and there is a good size living room. The bathroom is tiny!!! We found the beds to be uncomfortable, with and without the extra matress. The bed in the smaller.bedroom is broken and would roll around the room sometimes. Neighbor has a junkyard in their backyard. Property is very close to a beautiful beach. For a budget price it is worth it."

"The cottage is cute and very clean. There is a stream that runs through the property. It was peaceful to watch and listen to it from the porches. We spent time at the house and took day trips to Shenandoah National park and Grand Caverns. I would definitely book this same place again."

"Cute little house, comfortable with character. It rained so we did not use the back porch fire pit area. Had a problem with the furnace, but the owner replied back and we were brought electric heaters (the furnace needed more repairs than could be done in a short period of time.) The only drawback was the view across the road. The neighborhood does not have curbside garbage pick up, so there was a dumpster across the street. Overall, it was a nice little house and I would stay there again."

"We loved the cottage. Perfect location to everything on the island. Was within walking distance to the seafood festival and shops. The screened porch was a nice place to enjoy our morning coffee. The cottage had everything we needed. The bed was super comfy. We highly recommend staying there. We are considering a summer visit and hope the cottage is available if we do."

"My family and I stayed for a weekend and the house was wonderful. It has all the amenities we needed for the weekend visit. It was clean and tidy and we felt comfortable while we were there. The backyard was also really nice! The location was easy for us with our young family to get to everything we needed. Overall it was a great stay and we will likely stay there again!"

"Enjoy Don's cottage - the screened in patio was lovely to enjoy coffee and do some light office work. Kitchen had enough of everything to heat or prepare simple meals. Hot water was plentiful and pressure good in the shower. Bed was comfortable. The area is very quiet at night but during the day there is a small business next door that you do hear light people chatter/deliveries. I would say this location is like a modern cabin - just enough of everything but still feels rustic."

"We had a nice stay in a lovely rural location with nice outdoor terrace and quiet street for a long walk. Communication with the host was simple and straight forward."

"My husband and I stayed for the weekend. While the home is definitely out in the woods, it is not as secluded as we had hoped. There is a large occupied house that looks down on the rental house and hot tub. The ring doorbell can also see the hot tub, and we did not feel like it was private enough for us to use. The house is beautiful and there is plenty of space to wander in the woods."

"We had a great time at the sawmill cottage! Jen was a wonderful host and even gave us a tour of her farm, highly recommend! The cottage was clean and bed was comfortable. Absolutely no cell service or television, and that gave us some time to spend unplugged and play board games and watch dvds together!! Campfire area is awesome as well. Loved it, thanks Jen for the experience and helping us with maps of the area!"

"We loved the analog house! It is like having your own private sanctuary in the woods. The house was perfect for me and my husband and our two dogs. The kitchen is amazing and very well appointed. You really do have your own private beach front. We went kayaking, which was so nice and collected a bunch of shells. The sunsets on the beach every night were incredible. We will love this place and will definitely be back."

"Beautiful, clean, cozy and relaxing place. Convenient to Grayson Highlands State Park. No outside lights around so it's great for star gazing. Great experience!"

"The location of this house is wonderful for short or even longer getaway stays, If you need peaceful solitude, but still prefer to be close to attractions, then this is the VRBO for you! The hosts are very responsive and the house was made very welcoming and comfortable. I highly reccommend this for your next weekend or getaway retreat."
