"The property itself was small but charming, the rooms/suites were large and the backyard was spacious as well with a private pool (a bit chilly as there is not much sun in the back). The room rates were very reasonable for what we got. That being said there was no housekeeping (we stayed for 5 days) and it got quite sandy and messy as there was no broom for us to use. Unfortunately, the roof is closed/ locked until 8am, so you can’t go up there in the morning to watch the sunrise over the sea (part of the reason for booking this place). "When arriving to Kuun Taak, we got our walk-thru and I really liked what I saw. The property is very beautiful and has a second floor since we booked the family section with two bedrooms, private hot tub and a private pool. The hot tub on the second floor still had leaves in it. This was a huge disappointment since I was looking forward to the hot tub after a long trip..but I digress and I didn't make a big deal at the time. I was told that if I make a request that the hot tub would be prepared....

"We arrived very late due to delays by WestJet and the Mexican airport and shuttle. However Jose ( the caretaker) was great to let us in even though it was after checkin time. So we were very appreciative of him. A family of 6 tired from a 10 hour travel day we’re thankful for Jose. The property is a bit noisy due to the proximity to entertainment district but otherwise it was fine for what we needed. Close to everything . Thank you Jose !"

"No one told us you had to call the cuban lady upstairs by phone to get her to throw us the keys when we arrived. Also no one told us that you have to turn in the boiler yourself to get hot water. Also no one told us that if you pay when you arrive it has to be all in cash. "

"Loved the property and the condo. It was very clean, stocked with essentials, and had multiple pools. The rooftop restaurant was nice and food was awesome. They do have assigned underground parking.Only downfall is finding it and the streets are horrible. We received our checkin email the day of but was able to checkin a hour early. If your not fluent in Spanish definitely have a translator app available because majority of staff speaks Spanish but everyone was very nice."

"The online photos do not do The Taj justice! Everything exceeded my expectations...a five star experience...the service is outstanding. The views are stunning...the beach and pool setting were perfect for my family. This is a luxury boutique hotel that checked all the boxes: close to great food, spa, shopping and always an open lounge chair available beach and poolside. "This was the first time we stayed at Estrella Del Mar 001 and had a wonderful time. The location was close to everything but not too close where it got too loud. We got to meet a few of the other residents near us and got along well with all. If you are looking for a nice, relaxing space with a spacious living room to entertain or play cards this was a real treat!"

"The suite was really nice, had everything we needed. Phenomenal location, quiet end of 5th. The only downside of this suite that couldn’t be controlled is there isn’t a lot of natural light. The pool was wonderful and warm and not busy at all."

"This is the WORST place I’ve ever booked! When we 1st came to the property there was no line no wait but when we got to the room the sheets were okay the bathroom was dirty and the toilet seat was broken falling apart (it did when we left) also.
