Property is a duplex and the windows/balconies in the rental unit mainly face the driveway side, but there is still a very pretty peaceful view across the water/marsh. Will be really nice when the yard landscaping is complete!"

"Had a wonderful getaway here with our teenage son. If you have a boat, there is a marina convenient next door for getting the boat fueled up and in and out of the water. Easy access by boat to Cape Lookout, Shakleford Banks and even Beaufort waterfront. The condo seems brand new with really nice furnishings and a beautiful view. "Condo was perfect for the two of us with plenty of amenities, including a private pool for the condo complex. We were pleased to find the kitchen well stocked since my wife and I enjoy going to the seafood market and having fresh seafood. The unit is close to the village and within walking distance to plenty of restaurants and activities. The Blue Heron Realty team were extremely helpful in answering questions prior to check-in and ensuring that we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay....

"This unit was very clean and well appointed. Plenty of dishes/glasses/silverware. Our daughter was married at the Beaufort Hotel and this property was close by. Had to contact Management Company because there was no hair dryer. I borrowed one from my sister and told them all was fine. Around 10 pm, the doorbell rang and a new hair dryer had been delivered. Very amazed at their concern and how quickly they took care of the situation."

"Ocracoke in the early spring is always a treat and this visit did not disappoint. Red Beard's Retreat is a little gem one block off Hwy 12 across from the village Variety store. Our unit was comfortably furnished and check-in was seamless. We had everything we needed and the housekeeper, Maria, lived upstairs and was always available to answer any questions we had. It was obvious that much time and thought went into the furnishing and design of the unit. We plan to visit again next year and...
